At ZenaSwimwear, each swimsuit is individually made to order based on your measurements, color choices, and customization preferences. Because of the personalized nature of our products, we do not offer returns or refunds on any custom swimwear.

If, however, you receive a suit that is defective (e.g., ripped fabric, broken clasps, or damage caused by the carrier), we’ll gladly replace it with the same item at no additional cost.

We also understand that minor adjustments are sometimes needed to achieve your perfect fit. That’s why we offer alterations under the guidelines outlined below.

2. Timeframe 

  1. You must request an alteration or exchange within 7 business days of your swimsuit’s delivery date.
  2. All items must be unworn and in original condition (no damage, stains, washing, or alterations) to be eligible.

3. Eligibility Criteria

To ensure a smooth process, the following criteria must be met:

  1. Accurate Measurements Provided
    1. ZenaSwimwear cannot accept requests for alterations due to incorrect self-measuring. Please measure carefully or ask us any questions before you order.
  2. Fabric & Color Choices
    1. We strongly recommend using our free fabric swatches to preview materials before finalizing your color choice.
    2. We cannot accommodate exchanges for a different fabric or color once the swimsuit is already made.
  3. Condition of the Garment
    1. Items must be in their original, unworn, and unwashed state to qualify for alterations or exchanges.
  4. Post-Wear Defects
    1. Damage from regular wear, chlorine exposure, improper care, or normal wear and tear does not qualify for free alterations or replacements.

4. Disclaimer

  1. No Refunds: Due to the custom nature of our products, all sales are final, except in cases of manufacturer defects.
  2. Accuracy: Measurements provided by the customer are the customer’s responsibility; we cannot waive alteration fees if initial measurements were inaccurate.
  3. Shipping Risks: We are not liable for lost, stolen, or damaged packages in transit; please keep your tracking information safe.

  2. If approved, we will provide details about any cost associated with the alteration and next steps:
    1. Minor adjustments (e.g., shortening a tankini or leg length) may cost $15–$20.
    2. More complex changes requiring partial or full reconstruction could cost up to 50% of the original price.

  1. Use an insured, traceable mail service (e.g., USPS for U.S. customers).
  2. Enclose:
    1. A printed, Signed & Dated, copy of your Alteration/Exchange Form .
    2. All email correspondence with ZenaSwimwear regarding your request.
    3. A copy of the original invoice or receipt.
  3. International Shipments:
    1. Clearly label packages as “Return/Repair of Canadian Merchandise” with a declared value of $20 to avoid high customs fees.
    2. ZenaSwimwear is not liable for customs fees if the package is mislabeled.
  4. Important: U.S. customers must ship via USPS. Other couriers (FedEx, UPS, etc.) may be refused, or you may incur additional fees.

  1. We’ll notify you by email once we receive your swimsuit.
  2. Alterations typically take 7–8 business days after receipt.
  3. You are responsible for shipping costs to send the suit back to us.
  4. ZenaSwimwear will cover the cost of shipping the altered or exchanged swimsuit back to you via regular tracked Canada Post (estimated 5–7 business days).

FAQ?

Because each swimsuit is custom-tailored to individual measurements and style preferences, it cannot be resold or repurposed. This ensures every piece is uniquely crafted, but also means we can’t accept returns for a refund.

Defects refer to manufacturing issues like ripped fabric, broken clasps, or obvious flaws caused during production or shipping. Normal wear and tear or issues caused by incorrect sizing do not qualify as defects.

No. We recommend ordering fabric swatches in advance to confirm your choice. Once your swimsuit is made, we cannot exchange it solely for color/fabric preference.

We do not offer free alterations for incorrect measurements. However, we can adjust your suit for an additional fee depending on the complexity of the alteration.
